Church of the Redeemer

The Outreach Committee distributes funds appropriated by Vestry and funds generously donated by members of the Church of the Redeemer according to the values articulated by Jesus in Matthew 25:35, 36, and 40. Approximately 75 percent is given to local recipients and the remaining 25 percent given to organizations with a national or international scope. Outreach offerings are held the first Sunday each month with the recipients being announced in advance. The committee also organizes the Salvation Army food boxes and mitten tree at Christmas, and volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. A new pursuit is sponsoring an apartment for low-income families for Hillcrest Ministries.

Northland Annual Walk for the Homeless

Saturday, May 15th, 2010.

A family and community service activity at Zona Rosa Town Square.

Registration begins at 7:00 AM. Walk from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.

Hillcrest Walk for the Homeless is an event that raises awareness and funds to support Hillcrest in its mission to transition homeless families to self-sufficiency. Thousands of community members across the Kansas City Area have participated in Walk for the Homeless for almost 20 years, and we would like to invite you to join them.
